CITB scaffolder apprenticeships now available

| Training

Generation Training Services began offering CITB Skills awards Scaffold Apprenticeships in September 2014.  Since the first intake we have enrolled over 100 new apprentices, all are working in full-time employment with some of our many scaffolding partners.

The first group completed their qualifications in February 2016 with a second group in March and another to complete in April.  Each month of 2016 there will be a further 9 qualified Scaffolders into the industry, all holding their NVQ level 2 in Access and Rigging Operations, English & Maths Functional Skills and CISRS Scaffolder card, complete with Generation’s Genlok & Altrad Futuro System Scaffold endorsements.  Each month we will also be offering a “sign-up day” available to all our customers to come along to the training centre and enrol a candidate they wish to sponsor through the program.  During this session we deliver an induction to the scheme, explaining the requirements and providing the candidates the opportunity to ask any questions they may have.

Learners can also meet the team, including the instructors, assessors and support staff as well as take a tour of the facilities.  On completion of their apprenticeship, we invite the newly qualified scaffolders to enter our “Next Generation” competition, with the chance to will a free place on a future training course, including our recently awarded CISRS  Advanced course, by simply sending us a picture of a scaffold they have assembled.  We will then select the winner every 6 months from all of the entries received and announce the successful individual through our social media pages.
